Fire Safety Level 1

The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is a qualification aimed at all staff, particularly new starters in any workplace, where a basic understanding of fire safety is required. The course is designed to enable all candidates to contribute into the fire safety procedures in the workplace. Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is aimed at learners requiring an introduction to the basics of fire safety.

The Learner outcomes are:

• Understand basic fire safety and what to do in the event of an emergency
• Understand the principles of fire risk control
• Understand the basics of practical fire safety

This qualification is assessed by a 15 question multiple-choice examination. Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 10 out of 15.

This course is held over half a day, is fully certified, and is carried out by fully qualified instructors. Course dates for Fire Safety are available upon request and require a minimum of six candidates for the course to be held.
