Conflict Management

People in all walks of life have at one point or another have seen some form of conflict. Dealing with this conflict can prove to be more difficult than it would first seem. This course will identify methods of dealing with different people and situations involving clients, colleagues and general public.

The endorsed McCormack course has been designed to help deal with the increasing need to train your staff in dealing with violence, aggression, bullying and intimidating behaviour in the interest of personal safety in the workplace.

The course will aid staff to have a sound knowledge of effective communication techniques and the ability to recognise and respond effectively. This will provide the individual and organisation with the skills to reduce the risk and reflect on the professional image of the organisation and its staff.

The course content includes:

The law relating to violence at work
Common Causes of Conflict
Impact Factors
Warning/Danger signs
Projecting a Professional Image
Models to help to de-escalate Aggression
Evaluating a potentially difficult situation
Reaching a positive outcome

At the end of the course candidates must show an understanding of what they have learnt.

This one day course is fully certified by ONE Awards (part of the NOCN Group), awarded through McCormack Training Ltd., and taught by fully qualified instructors. Course dates for Conflict Management are available upon request and require a minimum of six candidates for the course to be held.

This one day course can also incorporate the level 2 Physical Intervention disengagement techniques for those working in a higher risk environment.

The price for Conflict Management is from £80 + VAT, for Conflict Management with disengagement techniques is from £120 + VAT.
